Election of Kosovo’s president, Kurti: Going to elections is not an option, we are open to solutions

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has stated that going to early parliamentary elections is not an option.

At today’s government meeting, Kurti emphasized that the election of the president is a constitutional duty of the people’s elected representatives.

“This requires willingness to find a solution, readiness for compromise, and decisions that are not easy. We know that no party can claim to win 80 or more MPs, therefore the election result must be accepted, and from those positions, sincere and reasonable discussions should be held in the best interest of our country. We are open to a solution that reflects the will of the citizens,” Kurti said during his remarks.
