First Two Cruise Ships of the Tourist Season Arrive in Durrës

Two cruise ships have arrived at the Port of Durrës, marking the opening of the tourist season, bringing visitors from different countries around the world who are expected to explore the city and its surrounding areas.

A cruise ship flying the Belgian flag arrived around midday with 95 passengers and 49 crew members on board. It has a length of 110.65 meters and a width of 11.09 meters. The ship came from the port of Igoumenitsa and, after a one-day stop in Albania, will continue its itinerary toward Dubrovnik.

Meanwhile, a cruise ship flying the flag of Saint Vincent & the Grenadines arrived in the early morning hours with 48 tourists and 29 crew members. It measures 68.10 meters in length and 10.10 meters in width. The ship arrived at the country’s largest port after a stop in Kotor and will continue its journey toward Vlorë.

Durrës once again confirms its position as one of the key stops on the Mediterranean maritime tourism map, welcoming cruise ships that include Albania in their international itineraries and strengthening its role as a gateway for foreign visitors.
