Albanian PM Rama meets Greek PM Mitsotakis, pushes for new strategic partnership

TIRANA, April 22 – Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama met Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens on Wednesday during a working visit. The meeting took place on 22 April alongside the Delphi Economic Forum, a regional platform for political and economic dialogue.

The talks focused on strengthening relations between Albania and Greece and advancing a new strategic partnership agreement. Rama said both sides aim to deepen cooperation across political and economic areas.

PM Rama said Albania and Greece are working to resolve outstanding bilateral issues. He said both governments aim to move relations forward through sustained dialogue and mutual respect.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Edi Rama discussed long-standing regional issues and future cooperation frameworks, according to Rama’s account of the meeting. He said both sides have maintained communication even during periods of disagreement.

The meeting formed part of Rama’s participation in the Delphi Economic Forum. The event brings together international leaders to discuss global and regional economic and political developments.
