Travel and Tour World highlights Albania as rising European destination for 2026 tourism growth

TIRANA, April 23 – Travel and Tour World has highlighted Albania as an emerging European travel destination for 2026, citing growing international interest in its coastal landscapes, mountain regions and cultural heritage sites. The publication described Albania as gaining increased visibility among international travellers.

In Tirana, the capital features as a central entry point for visitors, according to the report. It pointed to architecture, museums such as Bunk’Art, street art and a growing café culture. The city also offers access routes toward surrounding natural areas.

Along the Albanian Riviera, the publication highlighted destinations including Ksamil, Jale and Gjipe. It also referenced Porto Palermo Castle and Butrint National Park, alongside outdoor activities such as kayaking, diving and hiking.

Across the north, the Albanian Alps were noted for trekking routes such as Valbona–Theth, as well as waterfalls and canyons. Travel and Tour World also cited expanding hotel investment and broader visa facilitation measures for several markets.
