Body of 21-year-old Albanian killed in Sweden arrives home

The body of 21-year-old Albanian Mateo Llupi, who lost his life following a shooting attack in the city of Helsingborg, has arrived in his home country.

The tragic incident occurred shortly before midnight on April 14, putting Swedish authorities on alert. Police cordoned off the area and launched investigations to clarify the circumstances.

During the attack, a woman around 25 years old, who was in the company of the victim, was also injured. According to Swedish police, no suspects have been identified or arrested so far, while investigations continue along several lines of inquiry.

Mateo Llupi, 21, originally from Fier, had been living in Sweden for several years with his family.

Meanwhile, the Llupi family has opened mourning rites in Fier, and the funeral ceremony is expected to take place on Friday.
