TIRANA, April 24 – Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha said Albania brings strategic value to the European Union through predictability, alignment and regional cooperation.
He made the remarks during a panel at the Delphi Economic Forum titled “From responsibility to benefit: How can Western Balkans EU membership become a European geopolitical win”.
Opening the discussion, Hoxha said Albania demonstrates consistent alignment with the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy. He added that this alignment reflects practical implementation rather than political statements.
Beyond policy alignment, he pointed to what he described as a broad national commitment to the European path. He said this orientation represents a long-term strategic choice and a central element of Albania’s national vision.
Turning to regional dynamics, the minister said Albania has played a role in improving perceptions of the Western Balkans. He said the region is increasingly viewed as an integral part of Southeast Europe rather than an area defined by division.
Concluding his intervention, Hoxha said the European Union must strengthen its role in an unpredictable global environment. He said coherence and credibility remain essential political assets for the bloc as it seeks greater geopolitical weight.
