Cruise ship “Monet” opens summer tourist season in Vlora

TIRANA, April 24 – The cruise ship “Monet” arrived at the port of Vlora on Friday, marking the start of the summer tourist season in the coastal city.

Port authorities said the vessel, sailing under the Kingstown flag, carried 48 tourists from countries including Croatia, Portugal, Germany and the United Kingdom. It docked at 07:45 after departing from Durrës.

According to port officials, visitors will tour several attractions in and around Vlorë during their stay. The ship is scheduled to remain in port until 20:00 before continuing its route to Sarandë.

Tourism authorities report a steady increase in cruise traffic to Vlorë in recent years. They link the trend to the area’s Ionian coastline and its growing appeal as a cultural and leisure destination.
