Rama from Dibra: SP’s mission is to bring Albania to the common European table

Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting this Saturday with the Socialist Party (PS) assembly in Dibra. During his speech, Rama spoke about the Arbër Road, emphasizing that it is no longer a promise but a completed project that is already delivering results.

He described Dibra as the “green cushion” of the capital. Among other things, he also addressed Albania’s European Union integration, stating that the mission of the Socialist Party of Albania is to lead the country in the right direction.

“We carry on our shoulders the weight of 83 mandates, each of which has its own value. I want to tell you that the three winning mandates in this region shine not simply as mandates, but for the result they represent — a spectacular result. The Arbër Road is no longer a project or a promise, but a completed work belonging to the mandate we left behind.

Today, the first benefits of the Arbër Road are beginning to be felt. Real estate values have increased, land prices have risen, and requests for construction in Peshkopi have grown. I believe that these years will be years of another revival for this area.

I am convinced that a new trend will emerge here as well. Dibra is very close to the capital — the green cushion of the capital. Albania’s work continues without interruption. Our national mission as socialists, which is to bring Albania to sit at the common table of Europe, is in its final phase. Albania’s progress is moving in the right direction and beginning to yield results.

This is the mission of the PS — to lead Albania in the right direction. This is a phase that requires a clear understanding of what lies ahead. It is important that we reach Europe’s door, whether blessed or challenged on that day. Now there is a visible timeframe, and we must ensure food security and standards in products.

This requires strong commitment and confidence from everyone. We are in a position where, as the PS, we have strengthened our power — we are dominant — because only the PS can carry out this national mission. No other pseudo-political force has the capacity to do so if the PS does not. You must reject the mud and attacks thrown against us day and night. You must be ready to respond to the poison spread in the air through every channel,” he said.
