Bajram Begaj: Western Balkans’ EU integration strategic for a safer, more competitive Europe

President Bajram Begaj attended the 11th Three Seas Initiative summit in Dubrovnik, Croatia. He called for tangible results to speed up regional economic development and EU integration. He said the Western Balkans is now a strategic front for Europe.

Begaj described the initiative as a success story. He said it now delivers real connections, investments and impact. He stressed that Europe faces a decisive moment. He called for leadership and vision amid geopolitical and economic challenges.

Begaj said EU enlargement is an investment in the future. He noted that integrating the region would strengthen Europe’s security and competitiveness.

He highlighted connectivity and infrastructure projects for Albania. He said they create stability and attract investment. Begaj reaffirmed Albania’s strategic goal. He said EU membership by 2030 remains the country’s compass.

The summit declaration also described EU enlargement as a strategic investment for peace, security and prosperity in Europe.
