Prime Minister Edi Rama said the historic neighborhoods of Pogradec are being revitalized. He called them a future growth hub for the lakeside city.
Historic areas across the country are returning to life. Projects preserve historical and architectural values. They also add new elements. These changes turn the areas into attractive spots for tourists and visitors.
In Pogradec, workers are restoring historic neighborhoods. They are preserving the unique architecture. The cobblestone streets remain. About 100 houses keep their façades, balconies, windows, and wooden shutters. Other characteristic details are also maintained.
Rama shared images of the “rebirth” of the historic neighborhoods. He said a new development pole will emerge soon. It will expand the tourism offer. It will also strengthen the local economy.
The neighborhood holds important historical and architectural value. It documents the city’s development over time. It also reflects the urban and architectural features shaped through its history.
Pogradec remains a preferred destination. Local and foreign visitors come in every season.
