Albania wins gold and silver at 2026 European Fitness and Bodybuilding Championships

TIRANA, May 4 – The Albanian national fitness and bodybuilding team won one gold and one silver medal at the 2026 European Championships. The competition took place in Santa Susana, Spain, from April 29 to May 3.

The Albanian National Olympic Committee (KOKSH) confirmed that the team included five athletes. It said the delegation achieved significant results at the event.

Dion Haxhiaj won the gold medal. He became European champion in the Men’s Physique Junior category (under 20).

Meanwhile, Edmond Met’hasani won the silver medal in Men’s Classic Bodybuilding (under 180 cm). He also placed fourth in Men’s Games Classic Bodybuilding (under 180 cm). He finished fifth in Men’s Fit Bodybuilding (over 180 cm).

Bruno Nuho also recorded strong results. He placed fifth in Men’s Classic Bodybuilding (under 171 cm). He took sixth place in Men’s Fit Bodybuilding (over 170 cm).

In addition, Armando Mancaku competed in Men’s Bodybuilding (under 75 kg, semi-pro). Antonio Paloka competed in Men’s Physique (under 170 cm). Neither athlete reached the top six final.

KOKSH said the participation reflects the progress of fitness and bodybuilding sports in Albania. It also highlights the commitment of Albanian athletes in international competition.
