President Haxhiu Signs Decree to Open Kosovo Consulate in Texas

The President of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, signed on Monday a decree for the opening of the Consular Mission of the Republic of Kosovo in Texas. According to a statement from the Presidency, Haxhiu emphasized that this is an important step.

She noted that with this mission, Kosovo becomes closer to its citizens and more present in one of the most important economic and social centers of the United States.

“This is an important step for our compatriots in Texas and the surrounding region, but also a recognition of our diaspora in America, which for decades has worked, contributed, lobbied, and stood by Kosovo. In every chapter of our journey—from resistance to state-building—the diaspora has played a key role,” she said.
