Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport Blendi Gonxhja met with AADF Board Director Michael Granoff to discuss long-standing cooperation in cultural heritage and development projects.
He said the Albanian-American Development Foundation (AADF) plays a key role in driving sustainable transformation in culture, education, and urban development in Albania.
He said the discussion focused on joint projects and their progress. He added that these projects have positively contributed to preserving and promoting Albania’s cultural identity.
He highlighted agreements for the management plans of the Berat and Elbasan castles. He also pointed to developments in Lin as part of ongoing cultural initiatives.
He said the two sides also discussed the redesign of EXPA. He said the goal is to make the digitalization unit fully functional, supporting modernization in the cultural sector.
He also addressed the management of Butrint National Park by the Butrint Management Foundation. He said it represents a successful model of cultural heritage administration.
He noted increased revenues and higher visitor numbers at the site. He also pointed to expanded restoration and conservation projects.
He described the cooperation as essential for creating new opportunities. He said it strengthens strategic partnership for sustainable development in the cultural sector.
