TIRANA, May 7 – Tourism remains a key driver of Albania’s economic growth, Tourism, Culture and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja said in an interview with the Montenegrin magazine “The Collection”.
The interview is titled “Shaping the Future: Tourism as the Engine of Albania’s Economic Growth”. Gonxhja described tourism as a sector with direct economic impact. He also linked it to national branding and sustainable development.
Albania consolidates its position as an increasingly valued destination in the region and Europe. Gonxhja pointed to natural resources, cultural heritage, and efforts to build a quality tourism model.
The ministry focuses on long-term sector development. It also works to raise standards. Authorities aim to strengthen the tourism offer based on Albania’s main assets.
