Himara Triathlon Links Sport and Tourism on the Albanian Riviera

Himara Triathlon will take place on May 10 in the coastal town of Himarë, bringing together professional and amateur athletes.

The event combines three disciplines: swimming, cycling, and running. It promotes both competitive sport and active lifestyles.

The race will start at Potam Beach with the swimming stage. It will then continue with a cycling route from Himarë to Qeparo and back. Finally, it will end with a running segment along the city promenade and coastal ring road.

Meanwhile, organizers say the triathlon aims to promote sports tourism. It also highlights the natural beauty of the Albanian Riviera.

In addition, the event seeks to become a long-term tradition. It aims to combine athletic competition with the promotion of Albania as a tourist destination.
