During Europe Week, Gonzato: Strengthening the Rule of Law in Albania is the Foundation of Prosperity

The European Union Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, said in a speech delivered at the opening ceremony of Europe Week that strengthening the rule of law is the foundation of prosperity and the key to Albania’s integration into the EU.

Gonzato stated that Albania, as a candidate country seeking membership in the European Union, is investing in a safer and more united future.

“Strengthening the rule of law in Albania is the foundation of prosperity. I am confident that Albania has the capacity to achieve this goal. There can be no shortcuts to membership. I want to remain focused on Albania fulfilling all the standards required for EU accession. Enlargement is a project for all of Albania. Europe is celebrating Europe Day in Albania. Europe Week 2026 will present a program with more than 50 activities. I am very excited to see these performances. I am proud to represent the EU and proud of everything the European Union stands for,” Gonzato said.
