Rama: World Law Congress in Tirana Shows Justice Transformation

Tirana hosted the opening session of the World Law Congress, one of the most important international platforms on the rule of law.

First, Edi Rama said the event marks a historic moment for Albania. Then, he described the congress as proof of an “epochal transformation” in the country’s justice system.

Meanwhile, he stressed that such an event would have been unimaginable years ago. He said Albania would not have hosted global legal experts without progress in judicial reform.

Moreover, he highlighted that the country has strengthened the separation of powers between politics and the justice system. He pointed to the importance of an independent judiciary and ongoing reforms.

Finally, he said Albania must continue to support and consolidate its justice system as part of its democratic development.
