Rama: Albania Closer Than Ever to EU Membership

Edi Rama declared that Albania has entered a key stage in its European Union integration process. First, he said the country is closer than ever to joining the EU.

Then, he stated that the European Commission report confirms Albania is ready to enter the chapter-closing phase of negotiations. Meanwhile, Rama spoke at the start of his “Flasim” podcast, marking Europe Day on May 9.

In addition, he said EU membership is no longer a distant goal but a realistic target within reach. Moreover, he highlighted that negotiations are advancing quickly and chapters are opening in record time.

Furthermore, he credited progress to reforms in justice, public administration, digital services, energy, and infrastructure. Finally, Rama emphasized that sustained effort and political will are essential to complete Albania’s EU path.
