European Union to disburse 200 million euros for Albania and Montenegro, says Kos

TIRANA, May 11 – European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said the European Union will disburse 200 million euros for Albania and Montenegro under the Growth Plan.

Meanwhile, she stated that implementation of the Growth Plan is progressing well. She confirmed that nearly 200 million euros will be released in the coming days for both countries. The process already produces concrete results in gradual integration, she added.

In a regional context, Kos referred to recent developments and noted that Serbia joined Albania, Montenegro and North Macedonia in SEPA last week.

At the same time, she announced preparations for the European Union–Western Balkans summit in Podgorica on June 5. She said she expects strong commitment from Western Balkans candidates to remain firmly on the European path.
