TIRANA, May 12 – Prime Minister Edi Rama took part in the signing of a financing agreement between the European Investment Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania. The agreement targets small and medium enterprises in innovation, digitalisation, technology, and green investments.
At the ceremony, Rama said the government will support all entrepreneurs who rely on free enterprise. He said small and medium enterprises remain key partners in job creation and in supporting families.
Meanwhile, he said these businesses also create opportunities for young people to develop professionally. He linked their role directly to employment growth and economic stability.
At the same time, Rama said the agreement supports a broader programme to double the number of small and medium enterprises. He described this objective as central to Albania’s economic development strategy.
In addition, he said the involvement of the European Investment Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania brings more than financial resources. He said Albania benefits from their long-standing experience in supporting European Union member states.
