A parliamentary dialogue on EU enlargement between Albania and Sweden was held today in Tirana at the “House of Europe”.
The head of the Socialist Party parliamentary group Taulant Balla said Albania is closer than ever to full EU membership.
He stated that the country’s goal is to close accession negotiations with the European Union by the end of 2027. He described EU integration as Albania’s main strategic priority.
Moreover, Balla stressed the need for political unity at this crucial stage for both Albania and Europe.
He called on all political forces to remain united behind the national objective of EU membership.
In addition, he reaffirmed the vision of “Albania 2030 in the European Union”.
Finally, Balla praised Sweden’s continued support for Albania’s EU integration process. He said EU enlargement in the Western Balkans is a strategic necessity for Europe’s future and security.
