TIRANA, May 14 – In an article in “Luxus Magazine”, the publication describes Albania as one of Europe’s fastest-growing luxury tourism destinations. It cites rapid development along the Ionian coast, rising international visibility and expanding investment in hospitality.
The article highlights the transformation of the Albanian Riviera. It describes clear waters, coastal villages and luxury resorts that are reshaping the country’s tourism profile. It adds that Albania was once absent from elite travel circuits but now attracts high-spending visitors and global hotel brands.
The report says companies such as Marriott International, Hyatt, MGallery and Aman Resorts have launched or announced projects in Albania. It also says more than €3 billion have been invested in tourism since 2016. It notes a strong rise in five-star hotel capacity in recent years.
Luxus Magazine also says Albania is moving beyond old perceptions linked to its post-communist past. It reports 11.7 million international arrivals in 2024. It highlights Ksamil, Gjipe beach and the UNESCO-listed Butrint site as key tourism drivers.
