“Egnatia Fest 2026” Opens Tourist Season in Librazhd

Librazhd opened the tourism season with “Egnatia Fest 2026” in the Cherry Park. Around 54 businesses joined the event and promoted the area’s nature, history, traditions, and tourism potential.

Minister Andis Salla attended the festival and highlighted the importance of local tourism and private investment for economic growth.

Salla said the region shows strong tourism potential. He noted that many investors have applied through the Mountains Package program. He also said Corridor VIII will increase Librazhd’s importance as a future destination.

The minister added that institutions continue supporting agrotourism through legal reforms, easier procedures, and certification policies.

Mayor Mariglen Disha said Librazhd welcomed around 192,000 local and foreign visitors last year. Popular destinations included Fushë Studen and areas along the historic Egnatia route.

Disha said the municipality will continue investing in infrastructure and mountain tourism. He added that Librazhd expects more than 300,000 visitors by the end of the year.

The festival also promoted local gastronomy, agrotourism, and handicrafts. Organizers aim to turn “Egnatia Fest” into a yearly tradition that supports tourism and the local economy.
