Forensic Science Institute becomes full member of European forensic network

TIRANA, May 18 – The Forensic Science Institute took part for the first time as a full member of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes in Zurich, Switzerland. The meeting gathered directors of European forensic science institutes. Institute Director Perlat Çullaj presented the institute’s role and development. He outlined professional standards. He highlighted achievements. He also stressed efforts to strengthen European cooperation in criminology and forensic science.

At the end of the meeting, Çullaj received the official certificate of full membership. The development marked an important milestone for Albanian forensic expertise in Europe. The participation also created new contacts with European partner institutes. It supported cooperation on experience exchange and capacity building. It also advanced scientific standards.

As a full member, the institute took part in decision-making processes for the first time. It voted in the election of the Steering Board. It also approved the action plan and strategy for the next period. The membership strengthened professional capacities. It expanded international cooperation. It also advanced forensic science in support of law enforcement and public safety.
