TIRANA, May 18 – Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha took part in the 11th OSCE South East Europe Media Conference in Tirana. The event is titled “Strengthening Journalism as a Public Good” and focuses on media freedom and journalist safety.

Meanwhile, Hoxha said the media landscape has become complex and increasingly challenging. He stressed the need to create conditions for free, independent, professional and ethical journalism. He added that media freedom must be continuously strengthened.

He said disinformation and polarisation are increasing. He also pointed to rapidly evolving digital realities. He said protecting journalism integrity has become more important than ever.
