PM Rama meets South Korean counterpart Kim Min-seok in Seoul to boost trade, investment and artificial intelligence cooperation

TIRANA, May 20 – Prime Minister Edi Rama met South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min-seok during his visit to South Korea. The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Rama said South Korea serves as an inspiration for Albania in national development. He added that both countries share similarities, as they have overcome challenges and achieved economic and democratic development despite geographical distance.

In addition, Rama said Albania is interested in strengthening cooperation in trade, investment and artificial intelligence.

According to South Korean media, Kim expressed a desire to expand exchanges and cooperation with Albania. He also highlighted that Albania has appointed the world’s first artificial intelligence minister, “Diella”. He noted that South Korea also places strong importance on advanced technologies and AI development.

The meeting took place during Rama’s visit to Seoul, where he also participated in an international conference.
