PM Kurti meets Ambassador Hamilton, focus on deepening cooperation with NATO

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti met this Wednesday with NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Partnerships, Ambassador Kevin Hamilton. This marks Hamilton’s first visit to Kosovo.

During the meeting, they discussed deepening cooperation with NATO. Prime Minister Kurti spoke about developments in the country, including in the fields of technology and defense, as well as ammunition production in Kosovo.

They also discussed Kosovo’s strong relations with NATO, regional and domestic security, and current political developments.

The establishment of the Kosovo Gendarmerie was also discussed. In response to a question from Hamilton, Kurti explained the concept and emphasized the need for such a structure in strengthening security and coordination with KFOR and NATO in this regard.
