EU confirms to Euronews Albania: IBAR has passed in COELA

Sources from the European Union have confirmed to Euronews Albania that the IBAR draft passed today in the COELA working group, marking another important step in Albania’s European integration process.

According to EU sources, COELA reached an agreement on the draft of the EU’s common temporary position (EUCP), meaning that the file is expected to move tomorrow afternoon for approval at the level of the ambassadors of the member states in COREPER.

Following this procedural step, it is expected that the holding of the Intergovernmental Conference (IGC) will also be officially confirmed in the coming days.

The passage of the draft in COELA is considered a positive development in the advancement of Albania’s negotiations process with the European Union.
