Speaker of Parliament Niko Peleshi received a delegation from the National People’s Congress of China today in Tirana. The Chinese delegation was led by senior official Li Hongzhong.
Both sides discussed traditional friendly relations between Albania and China. They focused on expanding cooperation in economic, trade, education, cultural and youth exchanges.
Tourism cooperation was also highlighted as an important area for future growth. Li Hongzhong praised long-standing ties and expressed interest in strengthening bilateral relations.
The two sides also discussed deeper parliamentary cooperation. They agreed to increase exchanges of experience between the two legislative bodies.
Both parties emphasized the importance of peace, security and regional stability.
