Police Chief Hita Meets Dutch Ambassador, Highlights Results in Cross-Border Crime Cooperation

Albania’s State Police Director General Skënder Hita met Dutch Ambassador Reinout Vos in Tirana on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Hita received a congratulatory letter from Dutch Police Chief Janny Knol.

In her message, Knol praised cooperation between Albanian and Dutch police and wished Hita success in his new role.

She said both police forces share a strong commitment to fighting cross-border crime.

Hita thanked the ambassador and highlighted the results of cooperation between law enforcement agencies in Albania and the Netherlands.

He pointed to successful operations involving the location, arrest and extradition of internationally wanted individuals.

He also mentioned joint investigative teams, real-time intelligence sharing and the tracking of criminal assets.

Hita reaffirmed Albania’s commitment to future cooperation.

Ambassador Vos congratulated Hita on his appointment and confirmed the Netherlands’ continued support in strengthening security and fighting organized international crime.

The meeting also focused on Hita’s vision for a modern and trusted police force that stays close to citizens.
