Korça Moves Toward Regional Events Hub with New Festival and Creative Industry Center

Korça is moving closer to becoming a regional center for festivals and cultural events.

Prime Minister Edi Rama visited the construction site of the new Festival and Creative Industry Center on Wednesday. The project covers 18 hectares and aims to create a modern space for festivals, concerts and artistic events throughout the year.

The complex will include indoor and outdoor stages, service areas, parking and tourism facilities. Head of the Albanian Development Fund Dritan Agolli said the main indoor venue will host up to 2,000 people.

The outdoor festival area will welcome up to 20,000 visitors for major regional and international events. The complex will also include camper zones, summer stages, nightlife spaces and recreational areas.

Workers are close to finishing the main infrastructure, including roads, lighting, drainage and electricity. The project will also support young people and students in creative industries through practical training.

Even before completion, the site has already hosted important cultural events, including the MIK Festival. The project is strengthening Korça’s position as one of Albania’s leading cultural destinations.
