Glauk Konjufca: Kosovo–Albania Coordination Is a Natural Process

Glauk Konjufca, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kosovo, said that coordination between Kosovo and Albania is a natural and smooth process in international relations.

He made the remarks during a joint press conference in Prishtina together with Albania’s Foreign Minister Igli Hasani Hoxha.

First, Konjufca emphasized that coordinating foreign policy between Kosovo and Albania is the easiest form of cooperation between two states. He described this coordination as a major achievement in bilateral relations.

Next, he highlighted Albania’s continued support for Kosovo in international processes. He also said that both sides discussed Kosovo’s faster integration into NATO.

In addition, Konjufca stressed that coordination between the two governments remains essential for both countries.

At the same time, he confirmed that the joint government meeting between Kosovo and Albania has been postponed due to electoral developments and institutional formation processes in Kosovo.

However, he underlined that the idea has not been removed from the agenda. Finally, he said the meeting will take place once the new institutions are formed and the conditions are ready.
