Ferit Hoxha: Albania–Kosovo Relations Stronger Than Ever

Albania’s Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha began his first official visit to Kosovo on Sunday.

First, he met Albulena Haxhiu, Speaker of Parliament and acting president of Kosovo. Hoxha wished Haxhiu success in her constitutional duties. He also praised her role in protecting democratic standards and supporting the work of institutions.

Next, both officials said Albania and Kosovo now have stronger ties than ever. They said this partnership is built on shared strategic goals, a common Euro-Atlantic vision and close ties between the two countries.

In addition, they highlighted the joint meetings between the parliaments of Albania and Kosovo. They called this the highest level of parliamentary cooperation between the two states.

Both sides agreed to strengthen this mechanism further. They said it helps align policies, exchange experience and move forward with shared interests.

Hoxha also repeated Albania’s strong support for Kosovo and its international position.

Finally, he said a stronger and more integrated Kosovo supports peace, stability and the European future of the whole Western Balkans.
