Italian Vintage Car Exhibition Draws Attention in Gjirokastër

The historic bazaar of Gjirokastër became a unique attraction as 30 vintage cars were displayed in the city’s museum district.

The classic vehicles traveled from Italy as part of a tour across Albania, making a stop in the UNESCO-listed “Stone City.” The retro automobiles captured the attention of numerous tourists, recreating the atmosphere of past decades for automotive enthusiasts.

Participants said that events of this kind help promote Gjirokastër’s cultural and tourism heritage, attracting more domestic and international visitors while enriching the city’s tourism offerings.

In recent years, automotive tours and motorcycle itineraries have increasingly attracted passionate travelers to Gjirokastër, adding a distinctive dimension to the region’s tourism experience.
