The fourth edition of the Tirana European Youth Film Festival starts today at the “Agimi” art center in the capital. The festival will bring several days of European films for young audiences and film lovers.
The festival promotes contemporary European cinema, supports young filmmakers, and encourages cultural dialogue through film. This year’s program focuses on social issues, identity, youth challenges, and Europe’s diverse cultural realities.
The opening night starts at 9:00 p.m. with the screening of “Everybody Calls Him Rexha,” directed by Ibër Deari. The film brings a story with strong social and emotional themes and marks the official opening of the festival.
During the festival, audiences can watch films from European directors and join discussions, meetings with filmmakers, and activities that connect young people with the film industry.
Organizers say the festival has become an important platform for promoting new talent and strengthening cultural ties between European countries through cinema.
