Kosovo Elections: German Ambassador Says Four Teams Are Monitoring the Process, “Everything Is Calm and Running Smoothly”

German Ambassador to Kosovo Rainer Rudolph was in the field on Sunday monitoring the progress of Kosovo’s snap parliamentary elections.

In a video shared on social media, Rudolph said that election monitoring is being carried out by four teams as part of an observation effort organized by the European Union Office in Pristina.

He emphasized that, so far, the voting process appears calm and is proceeding without any issues.

“Hello, today is election day in Kosovo and, with a commitment to observing the process, we are participating with four teams in the election monitoring exercise organized by the European Union Office in Pristina.

I am currently visiting polling stations in Pristina and its surrounding areas. Everything I have seen so far appears calm and is proceeding without problems.

Therefore, we look forward with interest to the election results this evening. See you then,” he said.

The ambassador’s remarks came as voters across Kosovo headed to the polls in the country’s snap parliamentary elections, with international observers closely monitoring the voting process.
