Gonxhja held a meeting with local tourism operators together with Pogradec Mayor Ilir Xhakolli. They discussed the progress of the season, development opportunities, and key challenges that require stronger institutional cooperation.

In addition, the discussions focused on better management of lakeside beaches. They also addressed improving visitor services, maintaining cleanliness, and protecting the environment.

As a result, officials emphasized that these elements are essential for raising tourism quality and ensuring a better visitor experience.

Gonxhja praised the contribution of local businesses in developing tourism. He expressed readiness to continue cooperation to support sustainable growth in the sector.

He stated that Pogradec remains one of Albania’s most unique destinations due to its natural, cultural, and touristic values.

Furthermore, he stressed that the government aims to support all efforts that improve tourism quality and promote the region’s strong potential.
