Governor of the Bank of Albania Gent Sejko met with the Director of the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF), Jana Repanšek, in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
He also met with Robertina Gjoka Vasilieva, CEF Manager for Albania.
Furthermore, both sides reviewed their cooperation in developing professional skills and sharing financial knowledge. They praised the strong partnership between the Bank of Albania and CEF.
Repanšek highlighted the Bank of Albania’s active participation in CEF programs. She said experts and staff took part in more than 55 activities over the past two years. She added that this shows strong commitment to continuous training and regional knowledge exchange.
In addition, the two sides discussed ways to deepen cooperation in banking supervision. They focused on expanding training programs and increasing exchanges between regional institutions.
They also coordinated positions ahead of the CEF Annual Board Meeting. The meeting will take place on June 22 in Skopje.
Moreover, they discussed CEF’s strategic priorities and funding challenges. They also reviewed the role of member countries in supporting the institution’s long-term sustainability.
Governor Sejko reaffirmed Albania’s support for CEF’s mission. He stressed its role in strengthening institutional capacity and promoting regional cooperation.
He also praised CEF’s contribution to reforms, professional development, and the sharing of best practices among public institutions in the region.
