Lëpusha, located in the heart of the Albanian Alps in Malësi e Madhe, is emerging as one of Albania’s most attractive mountain tourism destinations.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared photos of the area and highlighted its growing tourism potential and agrotourism development.
He described Lëpusha as one of the “tourism pearls of northern Albania,” where alpine nature, biodiversity, and stunning landscapes create year-round tourism opportunities.
Rama pointed to the guesthouse “Kelmendi” as a key example of local development supported through the national scheme for agrotourism projects.
He said entrepreneur Dod Gjerkaj has built an authentic experience that combines alpine hospitality, traditional food, and close connection with nature.
Visitors now enjoy hiking trails, mountain climbing, and exploration of natural attractions in the area. As a result, Lëpusha is becoming an increasingly popular destination for mountain tourism and agrotourism in Albania.
Lëpusha is known for its untouched landscapes and traditional hospitality. It offers visitors a calm and immersive nature experience.
The village lies 21 kilometers from Tamara and 10 kilometers from Vermosh. Improved road access and growing guesthouse capacity have made the area more accessible and attractive to tourists.
