Minister of Finance Petrit Malaj said Albania continues to stand out as one of the most stable economies in the region.
He said the country maintains positive growth prospects. This comes despite global uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and inflationary pressures.
Furthermore, he referred to the latest World Bank report. He said it confirms that Albania remains more resilient than many of its regional peers. According to the report, Albania’s economy is expected to grow by 3.4% in 2026. This rate is higher than the regional average of 2.9%.
As a result, Albania shows stronger economic performance than many neighboring countries. It also demonstrates the economy’s ability to withstand external shocks.
In addition, Malaj said this performance reflects the effectiveness of recent fiscal and economic policies. He argued that these policies have helped build a more competitive and diversified economy.
Moreover, he stressed that structural reforms and responsible public finance management are producing real results. These results support growth, investment, and citizen welfare.
