TIRANA, June 15 – Ilir Dojka and Erjonilda Dojka present a new study titled “Shooting Sport around 1895–1990”. The study examines more than 100 years of shooting sport history in Albania.
The publication places shooting within Albania’s sporting tradition. It presents a discipline that combines tradition, skill and national identity. It provides extensive documentation, photographs and testimonies. Researchers, sports enthusiasts and younger readers receive it as an archival reference.
Chronological sections include photographs, trophies, medals, emblems, invitations, Spartakiad records and other historical documents. These records trace the development of shooting sports. They show a progression from traditional gunsmith craftsmanship and marksmen competitions to the first official championships in Albania.
The Albanian Sports Science Association supported the publication. The book highlights key figures, events and milestones in Albanian sport history. The authors present the work as a tribute to generations of athletes, coaches and shooting enthusiasts who built the tradition over time.
