PM Rama to attend Eastern Committee Annual Conference in Berlin, focus on investment and EU path

TIRANA, June 16 – Prime Minister Edi Rama will take part in the Eastern Committee Annual Conference in Berlin, one of the key platforms for economic and political dialogue between Germany and Eastern European countries.

The Media and Information Agency said Rama will also meet members of the committee’s board and chief executive officers of leading Eastern European companies during the visit. The discussions aim to support investment, improve Albania’s business climate and strengthen regional economic cooperation.

Later in the day, Rama will deliver the keynote speech at the main session of the conference. He will speak on “The European future of Albania, reform, resilience and innovation in a changing geopolitical landscape”. Michael Harms will moderate the session, which will also feature Diella, the first minister created with artificial intelligence. The event will continue with a question-and-answer session.

On the second day of the visit, on 17 June, Rama will meet Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche. The talks will focus on deepening economic cooperation between Albania and Germany, expanding energy sector investment and reviewing Albania’s progress in the EU integration process.
