Through cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Montenegro and thanks to the commitment of Montenegro’s Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, the €3,500 fee previously required for the recognition and equivalency of diplomas obtained by Montenegrin students who studied at universities in Albania has been abolished.
The issue particularly affected members of the Albanian minority in Montenegro due to the linguistic dimension of their studies and the need to have diplomas earned in the Albanian language officially recognized.
The new measure significantly reduces the financial burden on students and their families.
Minister Jakšić-Stojanović has demonstrated continued commitment to supporting education in the Albanian language, including backing the use of the Unified Albanian Primer in schools where instruction is conducted in Albanian.
Education remains another important bridge that brings people closer together, strengthens cooperation, and creates new opportunities between Albania and Montenegro.
