Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja continued his inspection tour in the city of Vlora, stressing that authorities will show zero tolerance toward the illegal occupation of public spaces.
During a visit to the Lungomare area, Gonxhja inspected the public beach and designated free-access zones. Inspectors identified several violations by businesses that had placed umbrellas and sunbeds outside their authorized areas or encroached on public spaces.
As a result, the minister ordered the immediate removal of the unauthorized equipment and warned that authorities would take strict action against violators. These measures include fines and the confiscation of materials and equipment.
Representatives from the State Police and the Regional Coastline Agency of Vlora joined the inspection and supported enforcement efforts.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports announced that the National Coastline Agency will continue inspections along Albania’s entire coastline. The agency aims to protect public access to free beaches, enforce regulations, and ensure that businesses respect the law.
Furthermore, Gonxhja emphasized that public beaches belong to citizens and visitors. Therefore, authorities will act decisively against any attempt to restrict or misuse these shared spaces.
