The Albanian government has approved a direct loan agreement with the United States under the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program.
The agreement provides $302 million to support Albania’s defense modernization and strengthen its military capabilities.
Under the deal, Albania’s Ministry of Finance will sign the agreement on behalf of the Republic of Albania with the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).
The two countries will use the financing to enhance defense capacities and expand military cooperation through international security programs.
The agreement also reinforces the strategic partnership between Albania and the United States. In addition, it supports Albania’s efforts to modernize its armed forces and improve defense readiness.
Through this financing, Albania aims to strengthen national security and contribute more effectively to regional stability and collective defense initiatives.
