Rama: Revival of Korça’s French High School Discussed with Macron

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that the revival of the French High School in Korça was among the projects discussed with French President Emmanuel Macron during their meeting in Paris.

The project is a joint initiative between the Albanian and French governments. It aims to create a regional center of excellence in technology and innovation. As a result, students will have access to high-quality international education.

Rama said the project is under Macron’s personal attention following the French president’s historic visit to Tirana. Therefore, both countries are working closely to advance and finalize the initiative.

Furthermore, Rama noted that a decade ago it would have been difficult to imagine France viewing Albania as a strategic partner in the Balkans. However, bilateral relations have strengthened significantly in recent years.

The French High School of Korça, a symbol of the strong ties between Albania and France, will soon offer new opportunities for hundreds of Albanian students as well as young people from across the region.

In addition, students will be able to study in an international environment and earn dual diplomas. They will receive both the Albanian State Matura diploma and the French Baccalauréat, qualifications recognized in both Albania and France.
