The Puppet Theatre is ready to begin its summer tour across Albania.
First, the National Center for Children’s Culture announced the program through its director Melsi Qirici on social media. The tour will bring children’s performances to several cities across the country.
In addition, the program includes popular shows such as “The Smurfs and Gargamel” and “The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.” These performances combine color, humor, and music to entertain young audiences.
Moreover, Winnie the Pooh will travel from north to south, reaching many communities. As a result, children across Albania will have access to free cultural performances.
Qirici confirmed that all shows will be free of charge. She also announced that the tour begins tomorrow at the Cultural Center in Patos.
Then, the performances will continue in several locations: Katund i Vjetër–Rubik on July 2, Rrogozhinë on July 3, Lushnjë on July 28, and Vlorë on July 29. After that, the tour will move to Mollas (Cërrik) on August 3, Tushemisht on August 4, Thumanë on August 27, and finally Shirokë on August 28.
Meanwhile, the theatre is also preparing content for adult audiences. Specifically, on July 4 and 5, the Puppet Theatre will stage the premiere of the play “Yerma.”
Furthermore, the production features young talented actors. It is supported through the Creative Fund of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.
Overall, the initiative aims to expand access to culture and bring theatre closer to communities across Albania.
