Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has stated that the June 7 elections were unnecessary and that the outcome itself proves it, stressing that citizens have once again delivered a clear message.
“This is our first in-person meeting since the June 7 elections. Kosovo did not need these elections, and the result proves what we said before they took place. Citizens have once again spoken clearly, and the outcome must be accepted and respected,” Kurti said during the government’s first physical meeting following the snap elections.
He added that once the election results are officially certified, discussions and preparations for the formation of new institutions will begin.
“Until the results are certified, we will start working and holding discussions on the formation of the new institutions, the constitution of the new Assembly legislature, the formation of the new government, and the election of the president,” Kurti stated.
