Prime Minister Edi Rama received Turkish Ambassador Ceyhun Erciyes in Tirana for a courtesy visit.
During the meeting, both sides praised the excellent state of relations between Albania and Turkey and reviewed ongoing cooperation in several areas.
Furthermore, they reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, with a particular focus on expanding economic cooperation.
In addition, Ambassador Erciyes welcomed Prime Minister Rama’s upcoming visit to Ankara for the NATO Summit, describing it as another opportunity to deepen cooperation between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the discussions highlighted the positive momentum in Albania–Turkey relations and the willingness of both governments to further develop their partnership.
Following the meeting, Rama reacted to the Turkish Embassy’s announcement on social media, expressing his pleasure at welcoming the new ambassador of what he described as “brotherly Turkey.”
As a result, both countries signaled their intention to continue strengthening political and economic cooperation in the future.
