PM Rama: “No force can stop our mission toward Albania 2030 in the EU”

TIRANA, June 25 – Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on social media a long message sent by a citizen from Vlora living in Italy. The citizen urged him to continue his political path. Rama said he receives hundreds of similar messages and cannot read them all, while he thanked all senders and apologised for not replying.

Meanwhile, Rama said no force can stop the mission toward “Albania 2030 in the European Union.” He also said he has no illusions about issues that still require correction through sustained work.

The citizen addressed Rama directly in the message and said he first wondered how the contact was obtained, but later stressed that this detail did not matter and focused on his main appeal. He said Rama’s vision encourages young people abroad to consider returning to Albania, while also noting that protests in Tirana do not reflect the broader level of support.

He identified himself as originating from Vlora and said his family lives near the new airport and a planned resort area. Furthermore, he criticised public communication around investment projects and called for clearer messaging to avoid misunderstandings. He argued that tourism is shifting toward higher-spending visitors and added that Albania must expand services to support that model.

In addition, he raised concerns about living conditions in Albania, citing road safety, waste management, corruption, healthcare access and pollution. Finally, he said Albania has improved significantly in recent years and called for continued reforms and sustained progress.
